C++ Software Engineer (Desktop App)

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Vision Desktop application team. This role will partner with senior technical leaders to improve the architecture, maintainability, and long-term health of a large, mature C++ application. We need someone who is a strong software engineer first, with a passion for clean code, sound software design, and mentoring others.In this role, we will expect you to:

• Collaborate with senior technical leaders to evolve the application’s architecture for long-term sustainability.
• Improve maintainability by applying clean code practices and sound software design.
• Support modernization of engineering practices while working within an established product.
• Take ownership of software quality, long-term maintainability, and risk reduction.
• Participate in code reviews and help promote coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Debug complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Work cross-functionally with development, QA, product, and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Mentor others and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
