About Juo

At Juo, we're building software for businesses that want to build (or upgrade) and run their subscription offering. Business model-wise, Juo is a B2B SaaS company.

Our initial and current focus has been on direct-to-consumer ecommerce businesses selling physical products, but our goal is to make Juo components applicable in any industry where a subscription model can be used to sell things.

Juo operates at the intersection of ecommerce, payments and the new platform, with a strong focus on developer experience.

The team is lean and made up only of very experienced people. We've built successful businesses together before. We've built some unsuccessful ones too, and learned a ton from that.

We're backed by fantastic investors (MOC, Peak, Kogito, SMOK) and advisors, including domain experts from companies such as PayU, Piwik PRO and Your KAYA. We raised our seed round in November.

In other words, we have all the resources we need to focus on building the product, shipping fast and delivering value to our clients.

The role

Juo operates at the intersection of ecommerce, payments and developer tools. The product we've built combines an intuitive, modern UI and design with high-quality performance.

We're looking for an experienced engineer at heart who also has strong visual taste. Someone who knows what will work and what won't, who can pick up any product-related problem and solve it, and who can quickly understand the vision and execute on it.

This role exists to drive the development of our platform's next iteration, making sure it's scalable, user-friendly and developer-centric. You'll collaborate across teams to deliver features that solve real customer problems, while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation in a lean startup setting.

What you'll do

• Collaborate daily with Product and Design to shape priorities and translate them into actionable engineering work

• Help set product priorities that are aligned with technical feasibility

• Contribute to the development team by writing code (when needed) and taking part in architectural discussions

• Make sure product feature delivery is predictable and transparent

• Justify technical decisions in terms of product outcomes

• Talk to customers to gain an extra edge in building the product

• Promote engineering best practices and make sure they're applied consistently

What you bring

• 5+ years of cumulative experience as an engineer and/or product designer

• Knowledge of many technologies and stacks, and the ability to choose the right one for the job

• Experience in product-led companies

• Comfort working the lean startup way

• An open mind when learning new technologies

• A proven record of working and delivering in cross-functional teams

• Proven ability to design and implement solutions in complex systems

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (support, development and growth)

• Excellent communication skills

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Fluency in Polish (written and spoken)

Nice to have: experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) or subscription-based systems
