As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on core product features and infrastructure components that support our day-to-day operations and growth. Your work will span multiple layers—from designing service interfaces and implementing production-ready backend functionality to improving performance, reliability, and observability. We focus on delivering secure, maintainable solutions, so you’ll contribute to architectural decisions, code quality standards, and engineering practices that help the team move fast without compromising safety. You’ll collaborate closely with product, security-minded stakeholders, and other engineers to turn technical requirements into dependable software that performs under real-world conditions.
What you will do
Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs, from requirements to production rollout.
Own critical parts of the codebase end-to-end, including development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Improve system reliability and performance by analyzing logs/metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and driving fixes.
Collaborate on architecture and technical direction, providing thoughtful trade-offs around scalability, security, and maintainability.
Write clean, well-tested code and set quality standards through reviews, mentoring, and shared best practices.
Build or enhance observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) so issues can be detected and resolved quickly.
Partner with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, estimate work, and ensure delivered outcomes match business needs.
Contribute to CI/CD and engineering workflows to streamline delivery and reduce risk.

What we are looking for
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer who can operate both independently and as a force-multiplier for the team at Siteguard. You should bring strong software engineering fundamentals, proven experience delivering production systems, and a mindset focused on quality, security, and continuous improvement.
Required experience and skills
Hands-on experience building backend systems (APIs and services) in production environments.
Strong understanding of software design principles, data modeling, and scalable architecture.
Proficiency with modern programming languages and engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
Experience working with databases and designing efficient queries and data flows.
Competence with debugging and troubleshooting using logs, metrics, and system behavior.
Clear understanding of security fundamentals and how to apply them during development and review.
